ATT Group HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

ATT Group are rooted in the fashion retail business in Taiwan. The owners are our first clients on the island from back in 1990. ATT owned a collection of parcels of land out towards the sea at the mouth of the Tamsui river. The site was very steep and didn't immediately appear to be suitable for housing. MLD (Powell-Tuck, Connor and Orefelt) proposed a scheme of 8 individual buildings, some were stand alone houses while others sub divided into condo style apartments. Each would be identified by a vibrant colour suggested by local traditional architecture or the landscape around it. A single basement linked all the buildings underground and moved traffic underground to allow use of the land above for recreation. Having finished the design the owners unfortunately took advantage of booming land values at the time and sold the property in about 1991
